A peer network — no central server

Bitcoin peer network — nodes connected around the world

Bitcoin nodes talk directly to each other — spreading transactions and blocks worldwide.

There is no Bitcoin headquarters. Nodes — computers running Bitcoin software — connect in a peer-to-peer network. They share new transactions and blocks, keeping the network alive without a company in the middle.
